Unit Summative Assessment- Argument/Persuasion REsearch Assignment & Presentation Topics
You will choose ONE of the following topics as your focus for this unit, collect evidence from the text during reading to support your reasoning, and then complete additional outside research to complete the assignment. (Details are located at the bottom of this page)
- Argue for or against the donation of bodies to science. Present evidence to justify your claim.
- Should surgeons use cadavers to practice new surgical techniques? (What are the potential benefits if yes, and what are the potential drawbacks if no?)
- It is said that the living should treat the dead with dignity. Is the use of cadavers dignified? Why or why not?
- Some states have laws regarding beating-heart cadavers. Are you for or against the use of beating-heart cadavers? Argue your position.
- Do you think that unclaimed bodies should be automatically donated to science? Why or why not?
